Thus, for example, Islamic communities in Asia and the United States are included along with Islamic societies in the Middle East. The contributors are leading scholars of world religions, many of whom are also members of the communities they study. Very helpful

I'm taking a global religion course and this book is very helpful. The many authors come from all different backgrounds and studies, so you receive subjective information from experts. Also, the information given is in shorter chapters so you don't have to read hours about one religion (helpful when you have thousands of other things to read for other courses).
